- Need Help Buying a All-in-One Desktop to play the Sims 4. Suggestions? I'm looking to buy a desktop to play The Sims 4 on. I don't know anything (and I mean anything) about computer graphics or anything computer related. I'm a pervious Mac user so don't know alot about PCS. Can you suggest a good all-in-one desktop to look into? I know that idealistic my best option is to build something but I just don't know anything about computers enough to know what to buy. I usually play on my 2009 ASUS Notebook but most of the graphics are set to lower medium / medium and when my lots are too cluttered the game will start lagging, which ends up ruining my gaming experience. I previously bought and tried to run The Sims 3 on my Macbook Air, however it did not open or run. I'm not sure if I will have the same issue with The Sims 4? My Mac info is as follows: MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015) 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Startup Disk Macintosh HD Intel HD Grap I also have a 2017 MacBook- not an air/pro model, I have the same graphics/storage specs but my Processor is 1.2GHz. July 2017 Hi @gcxxo , Yes, that MacBook Air will be able to run The Sims 4, but keep in mind that MacBook Air laptops are not designed for gaming, The Sims 4 will work with low graphic settings and laptop mode enabled.
